In the sector of cleanness, the Community Council find it very important. It has its own manned vehicle that carries out collection of rubbish two times a week from each house as well as vehicle that collect and dispose other materials, such as useless domestic appliances etc, in specifically shaped space in the Marathounda.

The council organise, continuously, expeditions for cleanness, in the streets, parks and public spaces and in the summer period it carries out the cleaning of all plots that are still undeveloped, in the built-up region of the community.

It deserves to be noted that the Community Council won first award for cleanness in 1993 and the last few years is found consistently in the first three Communities that are rewarded in the competition of cleanness.
